If you are thinking of sharing personal thoughts, photos, ramblings etc. WordPress.com offers a free, easy to use, and stable platform to blog on.

WordPress.com is a free hosting site but has some very specific limitations, including:

  • Cannot make money from your site (including Google AdSense)
  • You cannot upload plugins (which customize/extend its core functionality)
  • You cannot upload themes (must choose between a very limited selection of free/paid themes)
  • You cannot modify themes ($30 upcharge to change fonts/CSS (formatting)
  • Your blog can be suspended with little or know warning (and no way to get it back)
